Chain of Life

The "Chain of Life" was carved in the summer of 1989 from 1 large Tulip Popular log.  The anchor was laminated from boards cut from the same log and added on using a master-link. (That means i broke the end link and glued it back together!) The most interesting part for me was when i started-out with a 10' long log and the chain ended-up being 12' long. Ponder that for a moment...... This was in fact my very first chainsaw carving and it did change my life forever, thus the name~
